Friday Randomness

It's too bad I can't upload pics on here, because I just finished a sketch of a ball gown.... :)

Randomness!!!!

Haven't been doing a lot of writing since school started up, but I've been going strong with art! :)
If anybody who is reading this is the kind of person who can actually COMPETENTLY paint, then consider yourself lucky!! I am so bad at painting... :(
But I do like sketching with charcoal stubs and pencils! Although my obvious strength is sketching!!

Speaking of sketching, here's a little manga sketch I cooked up while I was bored and probably supposed to be reading something for school..... :)



It's no masterpiece, but maybe sketch art for a story??

Yay!!!!

Soon (middle/end of October) my blogs will be making a full comeback!!! And I'll even be posting some early posts right here on Idle Thoughts!!
And you can expect some nice pics of scenery in a couple weeks, seeing as I'll be taking a trip!!

Sunday morning = kinda tired/lazy :)
Okay, so remember when I said 'I should make a comic book'? Well, I've decided that that is going to be waaaay to hard to keep going, what with the school year fast approaching!

Art 2#

Okay, so i think I'm gonna try to make a comic book.

Agh, its gonna be so hard! Why, you might ask...here are the reasons...

1. Diologue! It hasn't got as much as a book, but you have to squeeze all your diologue into little speech bubbles! Ahhh! 

2. Consistency! You have to keep the same style of drawing throughout the whole book, which gets super hard! 

3. Characters! It's sooo hard to develop likable complex characters and names for them! 

4. Interaction! The characters have to interact with each other somehow, but what if you're terrible at drawing actions (like i am!)? 

5. Emotions! Okay, emotions are easier to draw than alot of other stuff, but it still seems hard to do over and over again!

6. Plot! It's suuuper hard to come up with a plot! And it can't be too complex otherwise it will completely drown out the art and it would get waaaay too long! 

Writing 2#

Something really hard about writing can be sticking with the same story and actually finishing it! I, personally, have had trouble ending a project because I really enjoyed writing it, and i didn't want to just end it.

Another reason finishing a story is hard is when there are too many loose ends, and its nearly Impossible to tie them all off. One way to deal with both of said problems is just write a sequel! 

Although writing a sequel is tough, sometimes its even more fun than writing the original because you can add more characters, and you don't have to invent a whole new storyline, you can just build on the previous one! 

Writing 1#

Sadly, my first Writing Post is about writers block, which I have.

It's horrible. Usually I just wait, and inspiration just comes! 

But now it's impossible to write anything longer than a few sentences. 

Apparently a way to beat writers block is writing out a conversation with yourself on paper. It sounds weird, and personally I don't see how it would help! 

Art 1#

My first post on Idle Thoughts is about Art-
I'm really into the Manga and Anime styles of art, and a lot of the time I'm just sitting on a couch, drawing characters.
I might start writing a little comic book, and if I do, I might post small excerpts every once in awhile. Maybe.
But something I will do is drawing manga versions of my characters from Ironhollow, my story on my other blog, which I've posted a link to in 'Welcome!'.
Well, this concludes Art #1.
